Does anyone know a delicious chocolate cake recipe?

My husband loves chocolate cake and for his birthday I want to bake him a cake from scratch. I want something delicious but also more interesting then just a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Please help by posting websites with recipes or your own recipes. :)

I have decided to start a business doing something I really enjoy. However, I am having difficulty naming it. I had a hard enough time naming three kids, lol. I am planning on opening an ebay store and doing a blog or website. Anyway, I bake cakes, pumpkin rolls, Christmas cookies, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels and cookies rolled in sprinkles and such. Things like that….baby shower favors, etc. I appreicate your suggestions. I like clever and whimsical yet simple names…lol…I am so demanding right? Please help if you can!

Simple, mouth watering desserts from scratch?

I want to make something yummy for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and I’m not an extreme chef, I’m just an average cook.
What are some relatively easy dessert recipes? Oh, and I love chocolate…
Nothing with pre-made stuff, like the Jello box or Betty Crocker cakes, I don’t want to buy anything. I have everything I need probably.

How far in advance can I make Rice Crispy Treats?

I need these for a party on the Friday before Halloween (my husband’s birthday is Halloween, Sundays are a bad night for parties and he works Saturday nights so Friday is my only option).

I’m going to shape them into tombstones, cover them in thin marshmallow fondant and paint them with Wilton chocolate/candy melts (I’ve done it before tastes wonderful and looks great!)

Last time I made them the day of because it was on a Saturday and I had off – but I work 9-5 on Fridays and there’s no way to do all of this work in a couple of hours before the party.

Obviously I don’t want them to go bad…but I’ll have to work on them Thursday night at the latest in order to finish all the work between the cake and the treats…anyone know if they’ll be gross if I start them on Wed or Thurs? or have any other ideas?

I’m REALLY concerned about my cousin’s unhealthy life style?

my cousin ashley is about 4 ft 9 inches and like 145-15O lbs.
last week i hung out with her during the weekend.
i couldnt believe all the junk she was eating!

morning: 8:00 am
3 large snickers bars [27O cals each]
5 large pancakes.
4 strips of bacon.
3 donuts from dunkin donuts [21O each]
2 large muffins [4OO cals each]
half a liter of soda.

snack: 1O:OO am
a large brownie
1O chips ahoy cookies
5 cupcakes
2 bags of chips

lunch: 12:OO pm [she wanted to go to mcdonalds]
2 large fries
mcflurry
sundae
3 chicken wraps [idk what theyre called]
1 large coke
big mac

dinner 5:00
her mom made 2 pans of lasanga [she ate one by herself]
more french fries
2 chicken sandwiches
dessert – 3 large pieces of apple pie

8:00 night snack?
3 more donuts
brownie
3 cup noodles

we went to sleep at around 12:00 am
she ended up eating this large piece of chocolate cake

i am SO WORRIED. and i tell her “please lets go exercise or move around , we can dance. thatll burn calories” but she refuses.

today is thanksgiving and she is coming over for dinner and im scared that shell eat WAY TOO MUCH.
she told me she wanted to eat a large bowl of mashed potatos , turkey , 4 slices of her fave pie , and more junk.

Star Wars Theme Party Ideas…?

I’m going to be holding a Star Wars theme night soon (not birthday or halloween party or anything but a regular one off party) where people (mixed ages roughly 20-40 yrs old) will be arriving in a star wars character costume of there choice. There will be competition to have the best costume in the party, and for the person the stays in character best (greatest actor), and there will be prizes to reward them.

The main event will be playing the ‘Trivial Pursuit DVD: Star Wars Saga Editon’ which will also have a prize for the winner. If you have any other entertainment ideas (for a mature audience) then please post them up.

But I am stuck on what food and drink I should use. I have already thought of the following: Yoda Soda (green coloured fizzy drink), Wookie Cookies (chocolate chip cookies), Choco Sabers (lightsaber moulded chocolate), Boba Fetta Cheese (cubed feta cheese), Amidala Massala (tikka massala curry), Watto Risotto (rice), Kenobi Maccaroni (maccaroni cheese), Princess Leia Cake (layer cake) & Skywalker Porkers (cocktail sausages).

Some of those will be familiar to you because I have stolen them from the Internet, but others are completely original by me (as far as I know, anyway). I want to keep all food and drink to rhyming only to be honest – unless it is still really clever.

that doesn’t use pie filling or anything like that? I have all the ingredients for a nice chocolate cake for my dads birthday but I don’t want to use any artificial ingredients for his cake. Does anyone have a good recipe?

I would like something chocolate and or mint. Cake, pie or something like that. It needs 2 be able 2 prepare day before. I will have close to 10 people for dinner, PLEASE help me!! I don’t want the same old original desserts I want something different and amazing :)
