German Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe

German Chocolate Cheesecake Ingredients
1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
3 packages cream cheese, softened (8oz)
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup flaked coconut
German Chocolate Cheesecake Ingredients Directions
Stir together first three ingredients; press into bottom of a 9-inch spring form pan.
Bake at 325F for ten minutes.
Cool.
Beat cream cheese and next three ingredients at med. speed with electric mixer til all blended.
Add eggs – one at a time.
Beat until just blended after you add each one.
Pour into prepared crust.
Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
Loosen cake from pan and cool.
Chill 8 hours.
Stir evaporated milk and next four ingredients in saucepan.
Cook over med. heat while stirring constantly for 7 minutes.
Then stir in pecans and coconut and spread over cheesecake.
Makes 12 servings.
