What are the differences in chocolate cake, chocolate mud cake and devil’s food cake?

The method and ingredients of Chocolate cake, chocolate mud cake and devil’s food cake are almost the same then what are the differences in these cake? Why do they have different names?
It must be the amount of chocolte used in each cake, if not then i really dont know
choc cake = devil’s food cake
“mud” usually means there is some gooeyness involved, like a pudding layer or something.
Chocolate mud cake usually has some gooey components, like a pudding consistency or a fudge sauce.
Devil’s food cake is a very deep, rich chocolate cake. (“Deviled” food is food that is extra rich or extra spicy/flavorful.)
And chocolate cake is just that: an ordinary cake flavored with chocolate.
